Getting back into the painting business is a full-circle story for Tim. In high school and after college, Tim started and managed his own home service company with professional painting contractor. The company (Pierpont Painting and Wallpapering) served clients in Middlebury and Greenwich, CT.
After earning a Studio Arts BFA at Syracuse University, and a stint in sports retail, Tim entered into a 22-year career in the corporate real estate industry, managing large real estate portfolios for high-tech companies and banks. Today, Tim brings to his company his passion for painting and home improvement, as well as hard-earned business experience in visionary leadership, management, reliability in delivering quality service, and amazing customer engagement. Tim enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife, Andrea, hiking the hills of Marin County, dabbling in a homebrew hobby, and sailing on the Bay.
Andrea is a business consultant focusing on business strategy and development, marketing, and operations. She spent 15 years in the corporate sector starting as a property/casualty underwriting manager for Chubb Insurance Company in New York City and San Francisco followed by consulting work for Fireman’s Fund in Novato. Andrea is also involved with The Follow Your Dream Foundation and is an associate producer on the award-winning documentary film, PASANG: In the Shadow of Everest. In her local Marin County community, Andrea has been deeply involved in volunteer work for the local K-8 school district. Most recently she was an elected trustee and President of the Larkspur-Corte Madera Board of Trustees. Andrea earned a bachelor’s degree in Government from St. Lawrence University and grew up in Rochester, MN and Wilton, CT. She enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling and spending time with her daughters and husband, Tim, in Marin County.
Pierpont Painting, Inc. holds a California Contractors C33 – Painting & Decorating specialty license. We are fully insured and maintain General Liability, Property Damage, and Workers Compensation policies. We are bonded with the California State License Board.
LEAD SAFETY for Renovation, Repair and Painting Tim Pierpont is an EPA Certified Renovator which allows him to perform lead-safe renovation, repair, and painting work in pre-1978 housing and in child-occupied facilities where work will disturb lead-based paint.
Pierpont Painting, Inc. is a member of premier building trade associations that help strengthen our network of trade contractors, as well as maintain required industry training to keep up with the latest products, techniques, and painting contracting standards. We also have relationships with all the painting suppliers in the Bay Area; Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Dunn Edwards, which allow us to provide the best products for the job that are backed by company warranties.
